| Bruce Genderson has been a trial attorney at Williams & Connolly since 1978. During that time, he has litigated a wide range of civil and criminal matters of all types, ranging from intellectual property disputes to complex corporate and commercial cases to defending against criminal charges as diverse as tax fraud and capital murder. Over the course of his career, Mr. Genderson has represented some of the world's largest corporations in the pharmaceutical, medical device, electronics, and computer industries, as well as a great number of emerging companies spanning a wide variety of industries. He has also represented numerous individuals in both complex civil and criminal litigation.
Mr. Genderson spearheads the firm's intellectual property litigation practice and is nationally-known for his work representing major corporations in intellectual property disputes. For the last several years, the focus of Mr. Genderson's practice has been on patent litigation, during which he has prosecuted and defended patent infringement suits relating to, among other things, billion-dollar-a-year pharmaceutical products, complex biotechnology inventions, computers and electronics, and medical devices.
Outside of the intellectual property litigation arena, Mr. Genderson has extensive experience representing major corporations in complex corporate and commercial lawsuits and has defended major law firms in legal malpractice actions.
Mr. Genderson was a member of the firm's Executive Committee from 2002 to 2006.
