| David Blatt's practice is principally concentrated in four areas: general civil and commercial litigation, products liability litigation, professional liability litigation, and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Blatt has represented numerous internet and other technology-based service providers, medical device manufacturers, health-care providers, energy providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, law firms, financial institutions, class action plaintiffs and defendants, and corporate officers and directors in civil litigation and criminal investigations. He has represented these and other clients in trials and appeals, including in federal court, state court, and arbitrations throughout the country. Mr. Blatt is personally involved in all aspects of his clients' cases, from pre-suit investigation, through written briefs, hearings, and depositions, to trial, and appeal. Most recently, he successfully defended an internet service provider accused of fraud; obtained for a widow and her children who had been left nothing in their husband's and father's will millions of dollars; procured a favorable settlement for a power producer accused of causing hundreds of millions of dollars in damages by breach of contract; and successfully defended through judgment a housing manufacturer against allegations of negligence, fraud, and deceptive trade practices, obtaining an award of attorneys' fees. Mr. Blatt joined Williams & Connolly LLP in 1989 and has been a partner since 1996.
