| Dennis Black joined the firm in 1990 and has been a partner since 1998. Mr. Black's practice has been concentrated in complex civil litigation with specific focuses on intellectual property, financial services, employment litigation, and cases having parallel civil and criminal proceedings. Mr. Black has participated in the representation of a former national political party chairman in the campaign finance investigation, one of the subjects of the "Passport Files" independent counsel investigation, as well as the chief executive officers of two different national hospital chains in multi-year criminal investigations and civil litigation. Mr. Black recently won summary judgment in an amount in excess of $90 million for a major financial institution suing another financial institution in a case arising out of a sale of a consumer credit card company.
