Megan Hills focuses her practice on complex litigation in a wide array of fields, including products liability, Title VII, securities claims, and the defense of medical malpractice. Her focus is in the defense of pharmaceutical companies, most recently helping to coordinate multiple law firms in the defense of claims against a major pharmaceutical counsel involving a voluntarily recalled prescription medication. Ms. Hills has been associated with Williams & Connolly LLP since 1992 and participated in trial teams and served as trial counsel for a number of matters involving the defense of an entity involved in the manufacturing process of silicone breast implants, the defense of a law firm alleged to have violated federal securities law, the defense of a corporation alleged to have committed Title VII violations, and the defense of a corporate entity implicated in a federal grand jury investigation. Ms. Hills has also represented individuals in both civil and criminal matters. In addition to her work at Williams & Connolly LLP, Ms. Hills served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia from 1997 to 2001 where she gained extensive trial experience and appeared in both local and federal courts as both trial and appellate counsel. Ms. Hills returned to the firm in January 2002, after serving as the Associate Deputy General Counsel in the United States Department of Treasury. Ms. Hills has appeared in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.
