| Rob Cary's practice focuses on criminal and civil trials. He has extensive experience representing individuals and companies before juries and judges. He also teaches trial advocacy at the Georgetown University Law Center.
Mr. Cary clerked for federal trial judge Eugene Lynch in 1990 and 1991. He joined Williams & Connolly in 1991, and became a partner in 1998. Mr. Cary is chair of the firm's Hiring Committee, and has devoted substantial time to providing legal services to those who cannot afford them.
In addition to Mr. Cary's trial experience, he has been involved in a number of high stakes appeals. He has also represented clients in connection with investigations conducted by various government agencies, including state and federal prosecutors and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Cary is a native of Hannibal, Missouri. He serves on the Governing Board of Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Capitol Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He lives in Montgomery County, Maryland, with his spouse Mary Kate, and their two daughters.
