Williams & Connolly LLP client Jemile Weeks has been selected by the Oakland A's with the 12th pick in the first round of the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft.

Weeks, a junior at the University of Miami, was named a 2008 Baseball America Preseason First Team All-American as well as a 2008 Preseason Watch List for Brooks Wallace Player of the Year Award.
